Employment

About the Farm and what we’re looking for:

2021 marks our 22nd year of diversified pesticide-and-herbicide-free vegetable, fruit and flower production.  In 2020 we fed 250 families through our summer CSA, 100 families through our fall CSA, and 50 families through our spring CSA, as well as through an onsite farm-stand, farm store, and restaurant sales. We are looking for hardworking, enthusiastic, self-motivated team players, serious about farming, with a positive attitude, stamina to work 10 hour days, move 50# bags, follow directions and pay attention to details, while having a good time with the rest of the crew.  We value those looking to stay with us into the future to build a greater understanding of what we do here, and thus become an asset to our farm.

Location:

Tracie’s Community Farm is located in the Monadnock region of NH, on 33 acres most of which is prime agriculture soil, classified as Becket fine sandy loam. We are 20 minutes from Keene, 40 minutes from Brattleboro VT and Northfield MA. We are 5 minutes from a beautiful lake where we go swimming on hot days, 10 minutes from Mt. Monadnock and many other great hikes in the area.

Full timers will harvest, pack, and wash produce on harvest days (Tu., W), and weed, hoe, trellis, transplant, haul, and more on maintenance days (M, Th, F). Full timers are relied upon to be leaders in the field, and will be asked to lead workshares and volunteers during harvest days, as well as be able to work efficiently while alone.

Crew members are flexibly broken up into either field crew or barn crew. Field crew still helps in the barn and barn crew still helps in the field, but the distinctions are made to prioritize allocation of labor and personal preference. All full time applicants will be asked to come in for a working interview. Working interviews are for the full work day. Lunch is provided, and $50 will be paid for the day worked.
