Week 5 of Summer Shares: Week of July 13th.
Just a reminder- the baskets will be on the tables inside our barn ready to go after 3:30 PM. Please return the previous week’s basket when you pick up your new share! Delivery members- just put the empty basket outside where the driver leaves it for you.
Sometimes an item doesn’t make it all the way around to all the members. We keep track of where we left off and hand it out to people who didn’t get it the following week. These items are often listed with a ‘?’ next to it on our harvest list!
Interested in being a pick-up location in Keene for our Fall Share? We are looking for someone to pick-up Fall Share baskets at the farm and bring them to their house for people to pick up. You will receive credit toward you Fall Share for doing so! Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details and information!

This Week’s Recipe: 8 Things To Do With Chinese Cabbage
What is Chinese Cabbage? Chinese Cabbage is often known by the name Napa Cabbage. It can be used in many ways that regular cabbage can be used. See above for many different uses!
Farmer Update: Busy as usual! We have uncovered our field cucumbers, melon, zucchini, summer squash, and acorn squash. Lots of flowers and tiny fruit on cucumbers, zucchini and summer squash so hopefully coming soon to your shares! We spent a lot of time pinching and trellising all of our indoor and outdoor tomatoes. There is a lot of fruit on the greenhouse tomatoes! Cherry tomatoes have started coming in now so they will be making their way around to all of you. Raspberries have been doing great and if you are a raspberry share and haven’t gotten your first half pint you will this week! We are excited to see how all of these delicious veggies are going to produce. The broccoli did great this past week and everybody received it in their share. We also hoed all of our fields, trellised the green beans, trellised peas again, mulched our celeriac, and much more! Check out the sale at our Farmstand: BUY ONE GET ONE FREE! Wingate Farm chicken is back for 2015! We are offering fresh, pasture-raised, organically-fed chicken for pickup at Tracie’s
Community Farm and other locations. There is no substitute for quality meat raised on grass, and we want to be your local source for premium poultry. We believe healthy, local food should be available to everyone, regardless of income. In this spirit we use a sliding-scale payment structure, where you choose the amount that’s right for you.
Please visit www.wingate-farm.com to learn more about us, the farm, and how to order your chickens.
