Spring Shares Week 10, 2019

2019 Summer CSA Share Update We will be pushing back the start date of our Summer CSA Shares to the third or the fourth week of June. With all the Spring rain, we are still waiting to get into our fields, and our original estimation of starting June 10th needs to be changed. Summer Shares will still run for 16 weeks, and will go for longer into the fall. Fall CSA Shares will not be affected by this change. Week 8 of Spring Shares 2019!

  Week 8 of Spring Shares 5/2! Our greenhouses are still producing a bounty of greens and we can’t wait to share it with y’all this week! Our herbs are starting to size up nicely and will be included in the next few weeks baskets. We have been mulching our Asparagus beds, ans are expecting some spears tom come up in the next few weeks. One of our farmer friends in Wilton is starting to harvest spears, so we shouldn’t be far behind! Week 4 of Spring Shares 2019

  Week 4 of Spring Shares 4/4! The date and share week matched up awful nice this week! Here’s week 4 of Spring Shares for you! Our Lettuce Mix and Arugula have shot up in the last week and will be included in this weeks share baskets. We will be holding off on Kale, Chard, and Claytonia to let them recover from heavy harvesting early on. We are not sure if we will continue to include Kale in future weeks. It didn’t size up how were expecting, and some of the plants are starting to go to seed. Luckily the Baby Kale bed is looking good and should be a mainstay in shares for a little while. Week 3 of Spring Shares 2019!

  Week 3 of Spring Shares 3/28! Happy Spring, everyone! Here is Week 3 of Spring Shares! Our greenhouses are starting to kick into gear with the coming of Spring! This week we will be adding three new greens in your basket: Pea Shoots, Orach, and Baby Kale. Next week we are also hoping to include Lettuce Mix and Arugula! This week we will be adding in Baby Kale to your basket. It is the same variety as the Kale you have been receiving, Red Russian, but is smaller, more tender, and better suited for salads. Week 2 of Spring Shares 3/21! Happy (nearly) Spring everyone! What a beautiful week it’s been so far, and it is supposed to keep getting warmer and more sunny! 2019 Spring Shares Week 1!

Welcome Spring Share Members! Thursday share pickups will mark the 20th anniversary of Tracie’s Community Farm providing wholesome, local food through our CSA. Tracie Loock started her farm in 1999 on her fathers land in Sullivan, NH, and although the farm has seen many changes (including a property change), it has stayed true to its mission to provide the best quality produce to our members and community. We are very excited to share our 20th anniversary with our Spring members this Thursday, and look forward to sharing it with our Summer and Fall members in the coming months.
