  Week 8 of Fall Shares! Happy Thanksgiving! The snowfall signaled the end of (most) of the outside work, plus it was beautiful to wake up to on Friday. Here’s Week 8 of Fall Shares for you! Thursday, November 20th Pick up is in the barn anytime after 3:30pm We’ll see how the snow affected the Kale on Tuesday, but at this point it looks like the end of the greens for this season. We will be packing y’alls baskets full with the rest of our storage veggies for the remainder of the season! Some veggies may come with limited pest damage. Fall Shares Week 7 2018

Week 7 of Fall Shares! How has everyone been adjusting to the time change? We on the farm were certainly happy to get the extra hour of sleep after a long season, and to wake up with the sun already risen! Here’s week 7 of Fall Shares for you! Thursday, November 15th Pick up is in the barn anytime after 3:30pm The veggie that made it into your basket last week that was not listed on the harvest schedule was a Sunchoke or Jerusalem Artichoke. They will store for quite a while in your refrigerator, and the recipe of the week this week features them! Unfortunately we will not be harvesting any more salad greens this season. Fall Shares Week 6 2018

  Week 6 of Fall Shares! That was quite the rain followed by one heck of a night of wind! Luckily we fared well through the wind storm, and we hope all of y’all did too. Anyways, here’s week 6 of Fall Shares for you! Thursday, November 8th Pick up is in the barn anytime after 3:30pm We will be keeping a close eye on our salad greens this week in hopes that we can hand them out one last time, the hail the other week did some damage to them. Week 3 Fall Shares 2018

Week 3 of Fall Shares! Here is Week 3 of our Fall Shares for you! Thursday, October 18th Pick up is in the barn anytime after 3:30pm The frost over the weekend likely spelled the end for peppers and eggplant in our share baskets for the season. Our Spinach is still sizing up, but we are hoping for a decent harvest of it this week. The Acorn Squash seems to have been affected by disease and has not been storing well for us. We recommend using it sooner rather than later and holding on to Butternut Squash for storage. We will be doing our best to keep greens in the share baskets for as long into the fall as possible. 2018 Fall Shares Week 2

  Week 2 of Fall Shares! We hope everyone enjoyed week 1 of Fall Shares. Here’s what we’ve got for week 2! Thursday, October 11th Pick up is in the barn anytime after 3:30pm Our peppers and eggplant will continue producing until we get our first frost. We passed out our smallest bed of Leeks first, so they will get bigger as we pass them out over the rest of the season. We are hoping to pass out Leeks 5 times this season! We will be doing our best to keep greens in the share baskets for as long into the fall as possible. We have beds coming in of Baby Kale, Spinach, Arugula, and Lettuce Mix coming in pretty thick, and our Kale will be harvested for shares, as well. Week 16 Summer Shares 2018

  Summer Shares Week 16! We are coming into the final week of our Summer CSA, and we would like to thank all of our members for a wonderful season together. It has been a season of ups and downs, and there was certainly a learning curve for the new manager of our farm. He has learned A LOT this year and is excited to take that knowledge and apply it next year. All in all we are proud of the produce that we were able to pass out and we hope you enjoyed your CSA basket this Summer! Our Peppers and Eggplant are still producing well for this week. Summer Shares Week 14 2018

  Summer Shares Week 14! Brrrr, it’s starting to feel like Fall, especially the past couple of nights! Our crops are still looking good for the final weeks of the Summer Shares and the beginning of Fall Shares. Lots of Peppers are turning red, and the Eggplant looks to be really coming into itself. Tomatoes will be a regular from here out, but our Cherry Tomatoes have taken a dip in production. There were a lot of blossoms on Friday, so hopefully by next week they will be a regular in everyone’s basket. The crops are in a transition period as the earlier season veggies and greens (peas, head lettuce, spinach, etc.) give way to the later season vegetables (tomatoes, eggplant, peppers etc.).
