The season begins mid June and continues through the beginning of October for 17 weeks. Each week, we harvest and wash the veggies that are at their peak flavor, and pack them into baskets. A weekly newsletter is included, explaining how things are going on the farm, how to prepare and store your veggies and what you can expect in the next weeks basket. There are also many recipes available here.
As the season progresses, you will receive ample shares of the bounty. You can check out the anticipated harvest dates to get a better idea of what to expect. Last year was the worst season we've ever seen due to all the rain. I'm anticipating much increased yields and increased this year's share to a 3:2:1 ratio from last season's 4:2:1 ratio. By doing this we had to raise prices slightly, as we will not be able to take on as many shares, but are hoping the amounts will better suit your needs.
Large Family Share - $600
Family Share $450
Single Share $350.
Additional Options: We don't include these in basic share to better meet your preferences.
Each Week = $30 or every other week=$15. We'll start chard every other share first week and kale 2nd so you can rotate them if you prefer. Each option adds $1.76 per week (market value $2-3). If you use more of these, order 2+ shares:
-Mesclun Share (.25 lb per week)
-Herb Share (1/wk, inc bags basil for pesto)
-Baby Lettuce Mix Share (6 oz/wk Aug-Oct when less head lettuce is coming in)
-Chard Share (.75 lb)
-Kale Share (.5 lb)
The price of the share includes delivery. If you choose to pick up at the farm, youll receive $60 discount off your share. We have a swap table at the farm so you can swap veggies you dont want for those you do want. To ensure the freshness of you share please pick up on your pick-up day between 5:30 - 9:00 PM. Your baskets will be available the following day on the swap table. If it isn't picked up, it will be up for grabs for other members when they pick up their share on the next harvest day.
Their is a late fee of $20 for those who join after March 15th.
Share Care Fund
We created a share care fund to supplement the cost of shares to families in need. Last year, members donated $3870 to supplement the shares of 9 families! If you need share care fund assistance for your share, please contact Tracie Smith. There is money to partially or fully pay off your share, depending on your needs.
Gift Certificates
You may purchase gift certificates for freshly harvested local vegetables and goods for use anytime throughout the year. The idea is to keep our holiday shopping dollars in the community which will help to keep open spaces open by keeping farmers in business. It can be a struggle these days for farms to make it with the ever increasing land and property taxes, cost of living, and competition from large scale commercial farms. It also gives us the opportunity to share the wealth of healthy safe chemical free food we have growing right here in our community with friends and family who may or may not realize the quality and freshness that they are missing out on.
The gift certificates can be purchased in any amount by emailing or calling the farm at 603-209-1851. We can send you or the recipient a gift certificate in the amount purchased with the to and from filled out for you, printed out on decorative paper along with a brohcure for next season. The gift certificate can be used towards baskets picked up at the farm, transplants pre-ordered, vegetables or transplants at the farmstand or anything ordered through the order list in the fall, winter and spring.
